Job: Head of Vampire Affairs
Canon: At Cross Academy the Day Class is for humans and the Night Class is for vampires, a secret that only a few people know. Our main character is Yuuki, a teenage girl dealing with the horrors of adolescence, with the added complications that come from dealing with both the human world and the secret world of vampires. She is torn between Kaname, the pureblood vampire she has adored since childhood, and Zero, her tormented foster brother, who hates all vampires.
Kaien Cross is the headmaster of Cross Academy as well as adoptive father to Yuuki and foster parent to Zero. It is through Cross Academy that he pursues his dream of building a bridge between vampires and humans so that they may one day get along. He is very commited to this goal, working hard to balance all the elements affected. He is also an embarrassingly loving parent. He loves taking pictures, forcing his beloved kids to eat his cooking, and trolling the super serious Kaname and Zero so that they'll lighten up a bit. Humor is his first defence against unpleasantness and part of what makes him such an endearing weirdo.
He does have a serious side and a mysterious, dark past he works to distance himself from, along with many secrets and a habit of withholding information. If pushed he will protect who and what he cares about efficiently, quite unlike the mild-mannered image he cultivates.

Hello! Do I have everyone's attention? I am Kaien Cross and I have come here to be the Head of Vampire Affairs, and to hassle my adorable children. Did I say hassle? I meant supervise and support. I hope to bring the same level of support to any child here that needs me.
There is much misinformation about vampires. They aren't all the evil, rabid monsters of stories. You, too, can make friends with vampires. Vampires have many fine qualities. In some ways they're just like anyone else, only smarter and stronger. Don't let their charisma and long life spans put you off. With enough time and careful, concentrated effort, I think even gorillas and robots will be able to integrate with vampires and everyone will get along.
I have many ideas for how to help this process. Designing a uniform for the cows may be difficult but I believe it will help bovines, both robotic and vampire, feel like they fit in. Let's see, I could start with a friendship evening so we can all interact and see each other as individuals instead of just putting everyone in categories like 'vampire', 'human', 'giant purple gorilla'. I have prepared a variety of cute badges with blank spaces for names and have a list of possible activities to expand young minds and harness youthful passion. I may have to cross horse-riding off the list as I have never seen a cow ride a horse, but wouldn't that be fun? I could take pictures and show everyone!

This is a picture of Yuuki putting on shoes! That one's a picture of Zero sleeping! That one there is a picture of Zero just before he tried to smash my camera. They're such vigorous, warm-hearted children.
